Microsoft Teams integration for usedocs

If your company runs on Microsoft Teams, that is where an unanswered customer question should land. The Teams integration posts it there with a link to the conversation.

Short answer

usedocs posts handoffs and new leads to Microsoft Teams through an incoming webhook. Create the webhook in your Teams channel, paste it into Integrations, and test with a question your docs do not cover.

Overview

The usedocs assistant answers from your help center and hands the conversation to your team when the docs do not cover a question. With Microsoft Teams connected, each handoff and each new lead posts to the channel you chose. The handed off question also joins the gap list, where usedocs drafts the article that would answer the next customer. Teams is an alert path; customers keep getting answers on your help center and widget.

What this integration does

Handoff alerts

The question and a conversation link in your Teams channel.

Lead alerts

New leads from the widget, for follow up.

Incoming webhook

No bot to host or approve beyond your tenant's connector policy.

Feeds the gap list

Handed off questions become gaps with drafted articles.

Setup

01

Create an incoming webhook In the Teams channel, add an incoming webhook and copy its URL.

02

Paste it into usedocs In the dashboard, open Integrations, find Microsoft Teams under Alerts, and paste the URL.

03

Test it Ask the assistant something your docs do not cover and check the channel.

Limits and plan notes

  • Alerts cover handoffs and new leads; edits and drafts wait in the dashboard's review queue.
  • Webhook URLs are secrets: rotate them if one leaks and update usedocs.
  • Delivery is queued, so expect seconds, not milliseconds.
  • Your tenant's connector policies decide whether incoming webhooks are allowed.

Not for you if

Skip this if you need a Teams bot that answers questions inside Teams; this integration only alerts your team.
