About usedocs
usedocs keeps a SaaS help center accurate when the code changes, and writes the docs customers asked for but never got. Customers get answers from those docs, with a link to the source.
What is usedocs?
usedocs is a help center that keeps up with your code and your customers, built for founders and small SaaS teams who still answer support themselves. It works in two loops that end in one review queue:
- Code to docs: when a pull request merges or a release ships, usedocs proposes an edit to the articles it affects, with the change as evidence. Every live article is also checked against the code on a schedule.
- Customers to docs: questions the docs could not answer, “not helpful” votes, and imported tickets become ranked gaps, and usedocs drafts the missing articles.
Nothing goes live until a person approves it. The hosted help center has a docs layout, a custom domain, translations, and private collections. The assistant answers from those articles with a link to the source, and says so when the docs do not cover a question.
usedocs.app is not Usedesk
usedocs.app is a help center and docs product for SaaS teams. Usedesk (often listed at usedocs.com) is a separate helpdesk product. They are not the same company, product, or website.
If a search result mixed the two names, you want this site: https://usedocs.app/.
Who is it for?
usedocs is for founders and small teams at B2B SaaS companies, usually one to twenty people, who ship every week and still answer the same setup, integration, billing, and troubleshooting questions by hand. It works best when customers can learn the product from docs and nobody has time to keep those docs current.
What makes it different?
- Both loops in one queue: edits from merged pull requests and drafts from customer questions, reviewed together.
- Evidence on every edit: each proposal shows the change and the reason, and version history keeps the old text.
- Answers with sources: every answer links the article it came from, and weak matches get an honest no.
- One plan: Growth at $99 a month, with a 7 day free trial and no card.
